Mended Hearts

Bailey Jessop endured 10 months of chemotherapy at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to fight the cancer attacking his body. He underwent several surgeries to remove part of his femur and received a titanium prosthesis.

Later, when tests showed damage to his heart related to his aggressive treatment protocol, this teen took the news in stride.

Today, we’d like to recognize Bailey and celebrate his #warriorsheart.

The growing population of childhood cancer survivors has led Le Bonheur’s Heart Institute to establish a formal cardio-oncology clinic at St. Jude. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for kids like Bailey and work to ensure that children with cancer don’t also have to worry about weakened hearts. Read more at www.lebonheur.org/promise.
