Nerd901 Gaming Strong for Le Bonheur Kids

Our amazing friends at Nerd901 have raised more than $5,300 during their Extra Life 2019 campaign to benefit Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. However, they are not stopping there. Once they reached their $5,000 goal they committed to hosting an “Extra Life After Party” at the Rec Room later this month with a $5 cover charge to go directly to Le Bonheur.

In 2018, the members of Nerd901 team decided to try their luck at raising money during Extra Life 2018 to benefit Le Bonheur. With only a couple of months planning and no experience with this type of event, they were able to raise $2,600.

After the 2018 event they immediately began planning for 2019. They set goals, made plans, assigned duties, schedule multiple team meetings, and recruited awesome people for their campaign. All of that preparation and recruiting netted several sponsors, thousands of dollars in production equipment, local personalities and streamers, and a community that helped them smash their goal of $5,000 for Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.

Nerd901 member Adam Schafini says “We cannot overstate the love and support we felt from Memphis and our online community. We would not have reached our goal without everyone involved. To all of the wonderful people at Le Bonheur, in Memphis, and across the country, thank you from the bottom of our nerdy hearts. We love you all.”
